TOPICS: We will be reviewing CPR and the use of our AED machine.

Our meetings are open to all residents of Delta Hawaii.

LAST MEETING UPDATE:

During our March meeting, we reviewed TRIAGE, which is a French word meaning “to sort.” During triage, victims are evaluated, sorted by emergency and type of treatment needed. Triage will be used here at Delta Hawaii in the event that we have a 6.0 plus earthquake in this area.

Triage is used when:

• There are more victims than rescuers
• There are limited resources
• Time is critical.
